RE Bunch is a writer and linoleum printmaker whose most recent novel, RED HORN, won first prize in Gothic Horror in The BookFest Spring 2025. Her debut folk horror novella, THE BY-BLOW PROMISE LAND, was awarded third prize in Supernatural Creatures in The BookFest Spring 2023. Her work is informed by her lived experience of growing up goth in a small midwestern town, and her extensive travels throughout the US. She blends elements of horror with magical realism, the supernatural and occult, and literary fiction to create tales that enchant and terrify readers.

Kassidy VanGundy is an author who predominantly writes pink horror and dark fantasy stories that are sprinkled with just the right amount of childhood longing. As a kid who used to keep all of her dark fantasies a secret in her Girl Tech Password Journal TM, she is now an adult who shares all of these stories for the world to see. Kassidy puts all of her youthful dreams into her first series, Descendants of the Damned, which includes Cursed Fate and Wicked Breed, as well as her short story collections, Cursed Images: Scary Stories from a Child of the Internet and Cursed Images: Social Media Madness.

Amber (@x_MidnightSun_x) affectionately known as Midnight or Mids, is a Chicago-based cosplayer known for bringing characters to life with striking detail and craftsmanship. Best recognized for their Hoyoverse cosplays from Genshin Impact, such as La Signora, Raiden Shogun, and Honkai: Star Rail, such as Phainon, Jingliu, and Kafka. Midnight also portrays fan favorites from franchises like Final Fantasy VII, Legend of Zelda, Persona 5, and Frozen.
From wig styling and prop making to modeling and photo editing, Midnight is passionate about every step of the cosplay process. They’ve spent over a decade active in the Chicago cosplay scene, attending cons like Anime Central, C2E2, and Anime Magic!, while also staying rooted in their small-town origins in Plano, IL.
Beyond cosplay, Midnight champions inclusivity and diversity within the cosplay sphere by advocating for and creating an environment online and in person where individuals of all genders, races and ethnicities, sexualities, disabilities, and ages feel welcome and embraced. They advocate for breaking down cosplay community divides and firmly believe: cosplay is for everyone.
Outside of conventions, Midnight is the practice manager of a disability-focused medical office, the lead vocalist of pop-punk band Ghosts in the Garden, and streams regularly on Twitch (@xxx_MidnightSun_xxx).
Their work will be featured in Vi Magazine’s October 2025 edition in Stockholm, Sweden.
